PM Modi, MP CM Mohan Yadav condole demise of Prabhat Jha


Bhopal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep grief over the demise of former Member of Parliament and senior BJP leader, Prabhat Jha.


PM Modi recalled his organizational acumen and also remembered his contribution in the field of journalism.


In a X post, the Prime Minister said;


“I am deeply saddened by the demise of senior BJP leader and former Member of Parliament Prabhat Jha ji. I have closely observed his working style and how he played an active role in strengthening the organization. Apart from his work of public service, he also made invaluable contribution in the field of journalism and writing. My condolences to his family and fans in this hour of grief. Om Shanti!”


Prabhat Jha breathed his last at 5 am today on Friday at Medanta Hospital. He was ill for a long time. He has two sons. He originally hails from Koriahi village in Sitamarhi district of Bihar.


Jha was a vigilant public representative: CM Mohan


Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has expressed deep grief over the demise of Prabhat Jha. Dr. Yadav said that Prabhat Jha was a vigilant public representative as well as a renowned writer and nationalist thinker. He discharged various important responsibilities. These include the roles of Rajya Sabha member and President and National Vice President of Madhya Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party. 


Dr. Yadav said that Jha always gave priority to the necessary co-ordination with the media in his political life. He used to study continuously. He rendered memorable services to strengthen the organisation. CM Dr. Yadav has prayed to Baba Mahakal for peace of the soul of late Prabhat Jha and to give strength to his family, fans and large group of friends to bear this sorrow.


His last rites will be performed tomorrow on Saturday in his ancestral village Koriahi in his birthplace, Sitamarhi district of Bihar.


Jha came to Gwalior from Bihar with family in his childhood


Prabhat Jha was not only a dynamic leader but also had a good hold in the party. Jha was born on 4 June 1957 in Koriahi village of Sitamarhi district of Bihar. However, he came to Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh with his family in his childhood. His primary education was also done in Gwalior school. 


Jha got BSc from PGV College, Gwalior, MA in Political Science from Madhav College and LLB degree from MLB College. His close ones say that he had a special connection with the ideology of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh from the very beginning.



Was shifted to Delhi by air ambulance


On June 29, Prabhat Jha was taken from Bhopal to Delhi with the help of an air ambulance due to neurological problems. Prabhat Jha was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. His routine treatment was also going on in Medanta. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Hitanand Sharma also reached the hospital to know the well-being of Prabhat Jha.
