Celebrations and Initiatives: PM Modi's Birthday is Going to be Special


Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to celebrate his 74th birthday on Tuesday, September 17. Festivities are already underway in Surat, Gujarat, where people are preparing for the event with great enthusiasm. Several businesses in the city have pledged to offer big discounts, with some providing services entirely free of charge to commemorate the occasion.


Like every year, this time too PM Modi's birthday is going to be special. On the occasion of PM Modi's birthday, 4,000 kg of vegetarian food will be served at Rajasthan's famous Ajmer Sharif Dargah. 


This time too BJP is going to start 'Seva Pakhwada' or 'Seva Parv' on 17th September on the occasion of PM Modi's birthday. Under this, blood donation camps and cleanliness drive will be organised across the country. Actually Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is the most important programme of Modi government.


Business Community Joins the Celebration


According to BJP leader Purnesh Modi, a number of local traders in his constituency will be offering discounts ranging from 10% to 100% in honor of PM Modi’s birthday. This has become a tradition in Surat, Gujarat, where businesses participate in various charitable acts to mark the Prime Minister’s special day. This year, businesses from diverse sectors such as hotels, restaurants, clinics, vegetable markets, and bakeries are expected to join in the celebration.


Purnesh Modi elaborated, saying, "Each year, we engage in service work to honor PM Modi's birthday. This time, 2,500 traders will be offering discounts between 10% to 100%, with 110 auto-rickshaws providing 100% discounts on rides. Although we make an appeal for participation, every business joins the effort voluntarily."


The auto-rickshaw union in Surat has also decided to join in the celebration. The union's president, Raju Bhandari, announced that they would celebrate the Prime Minister’s birthday as Seva Diwas (Day of Service).  and provide free auto-rickshaw rides.


Discounts at Shops Excite Customers


Local shopkeepers are thrilled to offer discounts, and customers are taking full advantage of the special offers. A customer in Surat said, "We are here shopping for the upcoming festivals and learned that PM Modi’s birthday is on September 17. The discounts available are great, so we’ve decided to buy more items." This shows how the festive mood, combined with the promise of savings, is encouraging people to partake in the celebrations.


A Gift for the Women of Odisha: The Subhadra Yojana


On his birthday, Prime Minister Modi will be in Odisha, where he will launch the Subhadra Yojana, a scheme aimed at empowering women in the state. BJP MP Sambit Patra said that this initiative fulfills a promise PM Modi made during his election campaign, wherein he committed to providing financial support of  Rs 50,000 annually to women. On this occasion, the Prime Minister will release the first installment of Rs 5,000 to 1.3 crore women beneficiaries.


The Subhadra Yojana is seen as a significant step toward enhancing the financial independence and wellbeing of women in Odisha, reflecting PM Modi’s long-standing commitment to women’s empowerment and social welfare. The timing of the launch on his birthday further emphasizes the day’s significance, combining personal celebration with impactful governance.


PM Modi's 73rd birthday is set to be marked by a blend of local festivities, charitable acts, and significant political milestones, particularly for the women of Odisha. As businesses in Surat join the celebration with various discounts and services, the day will also be remembered for the launch of a scheme that could benefit millions across the country.


How birthday was celebrated in the last few years


Last year PM Modi celebrated his birthday by announcing a game changer scheme for the farmers, craftsmen and artisans of the country. Last year on September 17, PM Modi had started the PM Vishwakarma Yojana. 


And before that in the year 2022, PM Modi had started Project Cheetah on September 17 to rehabilitate the extinct cheetahs in the country. Where PM Modi himself brought eight cheetahs from Namibia and left them in the enclosure of Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh. PM Modi also got photographs clicked with cheetahs.
