Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee took out Kisan Nyay Yatra across the state on Friday to demand increase in the support price of soybean, wheat and paddy in the state. During this, Congressmen and farmers came out on tractors, bikes and other vehicles. All the big leaders including state Congress chief Jitu Patwari were seen on the roads in the rally.
Two bulldozers stopped Yatra in Bhopal
In Bhopal, former leader of opposition Ajay Singh Rahul Bhaiya took charge. The administration stopped the rally in Bhopal by placing two bulldozers at Suraj Nagar intersection.
The police stopped the protesters who moved ahead from Ratibad at Suraj Nagar intersection. The police placed two bulldozers in the middle of the road to stop the Congress rally. More than 150 tractors were involved in this Congress Yatra. Later, the Congress submitted a memorandum to the administration here. Also, soybean saplings were given.
There were violent protests during Nyay Yatra in many districts including Indore, Ujjain. The police and administration also made a lot of efforts to make the Congress rally unsuccessful.
Jitu, Digvijaya Singh, Ajay Singh led the yatra in Indore
In Indore, state president Jitu Patwari and former CM Digvijaya Singh led the protest. Patwari was driving the tractor and former CM Digvijay Singh was riding on it.
Former CM Kamal Nath led the Kisan Nyay Yatra in Chhindwara and leader of opposition Umang Singhar led the Kisan Nyay Yatra in Alirajpur.
Patwari wiped the blood of a worker with a handkerchief
During the protest in Indore, Congress leaders tried to remove the barricading at Choithram intersection. A worker got injured in a clash with the police. Patwari called him near the tractor and wiped the blood with his handkerchief. Meanwhile, the police arrested some workers and took them to the central jail.
MLA fell from a moving tractor in Ujjain
Congress MLA Dinesh Jain Bose, who was sitting on a tractor during the Congress Kisan Nyay Yatra in Ujjain, fell down from the moving tractor due to dizziness. Congress leaders picked him up. The MLA has been admitted to a private hospital.
Homeguard jawan dies during Nyay Yatra
A homeguard jawan died during Kisan Nyay Yatra in Ujjain. The name of the deceased is Dharmendra Solanki. He was posted at Bima Hospital crossing. He suddenly felt pain in his chest. The jawans present there took him to the hospital, where he was declared dead. According to doctors, the jawan had a heart attack.
Kamal Nath flagged off yatra in Chhindwara
Former CM Kamal Nath flagged off the Congress Kisan Nyay Yatra in Chhindwara. Former MP Nakul Nath was also present during this time. He said that BJP and PM Modi talk about doubling the income of farmers, but the income of farmers has halved. Nakul Nath also said that the Kamal Nath government had waived off the loans of farmers.
