Mayawati Responds to Lynching Incident in Haryana's Charkhi Dadri; what CM Nayab Singh Saini said?


Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati has expressed her outrage over the recent lynching of a youth in Charkhi Dadri, Haryana, who was beaten to death on suspicion of consuming beef. In a social media post, she remarked, "The disease of mob lynching is not going away."


Mayawati condemned the incident, stating that the brutal attack on the young man from West Bengal "puts humanity to shame and exposes the rule of law." She emphasized the need for strict action against such violence, calling the situation "extremely sad and condemnable."


Inappropriate to label the incident as mob lynching: CM


The lynching case has drawn attention, with Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini also commenting on the matter. He claimed that it is inappropriate to label the incident as mob lynching, citing the strict cow protection laws enacted by the assembly. He expressed that such incidents are unfortunate and should not occur.


In response to the incident, the Charkhi Dadri police have arrested seven people, including two minors, in connection with the murder of the victim, identified as Sabir Malik. The arrested suspects have been named as Abhishek, Ravinder, Mohit, Kamaljit, and Sahil. Deputy SP Dheeraj Kumar confirmed that a case has been registered and that investigations are ongoing, with the accused being interrogated after their remand.
