MP: Sehore's Lakhpati Didi Sangeeta Malviya told PM Modi story of her company's success

Bhopal: Sometimes such opportunities come in life which one never thought of. The same happened with Lakhpati Didi Sangeeta Malviya. Sangeeta Malviya got the opportunity to have a face-to-face conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Lakhpati Didi Sammelan held in Jalgaon (Maharashtra) recently. This was an unforgettable moment of her life, which she will always cherish.

Lakhpati Didi Sangeeta Malviya, a resident of Bicholi village of Ichhawar block of Sehore district, is very excited about the direct discussion with PM Modi. She says that the Prime Minister came to know about our work, understood it and praised it.

Self-reliant Women Farmer Producer Company was set up in 2021

Sangeeta Malviya told PM Modi that the Government of India had started a scheme to establish 10 thousand Farmer Producer Organizations (FPO) in the year 2021. Under this scheme, we formed the Self-reliant Women Farmer Producer Company in 2021 itself. In the first year itself, more than one thousand farmer women joined our company. Everyone's hard work paid off.

The company did a business of Rs 2 crore 48 lakh in the first year itself. More than two thousand farmer sisters have joined our company so far. Out of these, more than 1200 sisters have become Lakhpati Didis. The Prime Minister praised Sangeeta and her farmer company and congratulated them.

Her company has achieved annual turnover of Rs 5 crore 43 lakh

Sangeeta Malviya and her fellow farmer sisters are delighted with the remarkable success of their farming company. Their business focuses on purchasing wheat, soybean, maize, and other grains, both for crop seed collection and as an output business. To date, the company has achieved an impressive annual turnover of Rs 5 crore 43 lakh.

Thanks to the progressiveness and achievements of her farmer group, Sangeeta Malviya was invited to represent her company at the "Lakhpati Didi Sammelan" in Jalgaon. Sangeeta, who transitioned from being a simple housewife to managing a thriving farmer producer company, has now become a successful businesswoman.

She expressed her deep gratitude to the women- and farmer-friendly Madhya Pradesh Government and the Ajeevika Mission for giving her the opportunity to interact with the Prime Minister.

In addition to her success in agriculture, Sangeeta Malviya made history by becoming the first Indian woman to win a Paralympics medal in pistol shooting. Her dedication and hard work have earned her a place in the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris. In July 2024, she secured an Olympic quota berth for the Paris Paralympics under the bipartite rule, marking another milestone in her inspiring journey.
