Politics over Bulldozer Action in UP: Why Akhilesh Yadav and Yogi Adityanath Are Exchanging Barbs?

Former Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav and current CM Yogi Adityanath have frequently issued statements about bulldozer actios and have commented on each other, drawing considerable public attention.

When journalists inquired about this remark, Yadav responded, "What was wrong with that?"

Following this, journalists posed another question: "Is there anything illegal in Gorakhpur?" In response, Akhilesh Yadav stated, "It is the responsibility of institutions to determine what is legal or illegal."

Yogi Adityanath is the head of the Gorakhnath Math in Gorakhpur and has also been an MP from Gorakhpur seat for five consecutive terms

Additionally, Akhilesh took to the social media platform X to suggest, "If you and your bulldozer are so successful, then create a separate party and run in the elections with the election symbol 'bulldozer'." However, he has not named anyone in this tweet..

Not everyone can operate a bulldozer: Yogi

In reaction to Yadav's comments, CM Yogi Adityanath remarked, "Not everyone can operate a bulldozer; it requires both brain and determination."

However, in a conversation with journalists, Akhilesh Yadav said on Tuesday that 'the bulldozer does not have a brain; it has a steering which makes it run.'

He told the journalists, “You go to Lucknow and take out the list and see why bulldozers are not running on all the buildings of LDA (Lucknow Development Authority). Bulldozers are running in Akbarnagar but why are bulldozers not running beyond this.”

Following this, Akhilesh Yadav remarked, "No one knows, but the people of Uttar Pradesh have the power to change someone's steering, just as the people of Delhi can."

You deployed bulldozer to exact revenge: Akhilesh

Akhilesh Yadav has also given a statement on the comment of the Supreme Court.

Akhilesh stated, "This is the bulldozer of the court. If the question is about the approval of the CM's residence map, then the CM should provide the necessary documentation. This suggests that you deployed bulldozer to exact revenge on those you wanted to."
