Sharvari Wagh's Joyful Experience Meeting Rani Mukerji: A Dream Fulfilled

Bollywood actress Sharvari Wagh recently opened up about her excitement and joy after meeting one of her idols, Rani Mukerji. Though Sharvari has been in the film industry for a few years, meeting such an iconic figure as Rani Mukerji was a special moment for her.

Sharvari made her acting debut in 2020 with the OTT series The Forgotten Army – Azaadi Ke Liye. However, she stepped into the limelight with her first major Bollywood role in Bunty Aur Babli 2, where she starred alongside big names such as Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, and Siddhant Chaturvedi.

Since then, Sharvari has continued to build her career with films like Munjya and Vedaa. Her next big project is Alpha, where she stars alongside Alia Bhatt in what is set to be the first female-led film within Yash Raj Films' expanding spy universe.

While speaking to the media recently, Sharvari shared her experience of meeting and working with Rani Mukerji. Despite her growing stature in the industry, Sharvari admitted that she felt quite nervous before her initial interaction with the Bollywood veteran.

"I was very nervous actually because Rani ma'am is someone I've always looked up to," Sharvari revealed. Reflecting on her childhood, she added, "As a child, I used to watch her films in theaters, come back home, and reenact her scenes and songs."

Sharvari’s nervousness was understandable, given Mukerji’s star power and legendary career in the Indian film industry. However, those fears were quickly eased as Rani Mukerji turned out to be warm and approachable, making Sharvari feel comfortable on set.

'Rani ma’am was so warm and affable'

"Rani ma’am was so warm and affable, that all my nervousness calmed down quickly," Sharvari said. She was also quick to clarify that despite working with stars of such stature, including Saif Ali Khan, she never felt intimidated during the shoot. Sharvari found the working environment collaborative and encouraging, with both Rani and Saif being very supportive co-stars.

During the preparations for Bunty Aur Babli 2, Sharvari shared that she got to know Rani Mukerji better, and the two gradually became friendly. "She looked exactly as I had expected," Sharvari commented, expressing how Rani Mukerji met all of her expectations not only as an actress but also as a person.

As Sharvari gears up for her role in Alpha, she continues to rise in the ranks of Bollywood. The film, which features Alia Bhatt and Sharvari as co-leads, is a significant project as it marks the first female-led film within the Yash Raj Films' spy universe.

Sharvari’s fans are eagerly waiting to see her shine alongside Alia Bhatt in this groundbreaking movie.

Sharvari’s journey from being an admirer of Rani Mukerji’s work to acting alongside her has been nothing short of a dream come true, and it is clear that she cherishes these moments in her rising career.
