Aparna Yadav, daughter-in-law of the Yadav family, has officially taken up her role as the Vice President of the Uttar Pradesh State Women's Commission, a position she was appointed to by the Yogi government. After several days of speculation about her hesitation in accepting the post, Aparna's decision to assume her new responsibilities has put all rumors to rest. She expressed her gratitude to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the opportunity.
Babita Chauhan of Agra has been made the chairperson of this commission while Charu Chaudhary of Gorakhpur has also been given the responsibility of the post of vice-president by the party.
Upon taking on the new role, Aparna Yadav said, "I thank the BJP and the Yogi government for entrusting me with this responsibility. I pray to God that we perform our duties well. I have always advocated for women's issues, and this is a significant responsibility for me."
Aparna expressed her enthusiasm for the new role and firmly dismissed any reports suggesting she was unhappy with the BJP's decision. She emphasized her commitment to women's causes and stated that she would continue to work diligently in this field.
Aparna did not immediately accept the post
Initially, Aparna Yadav did not immediately accept the post of Vice President. It was only after a phone call from Home Minister Amit Shah and a meeting with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath that she agreed to take on the responsibility.
Earlier, there were reports in the media that Aparna Yadav was not happy with this responsibility. She did not even take the charge for many days. After this, speculations were being made about Aparna Yadav's next step.
Aparna Yadav left SP and joined BJP in 2022
Aparna is the wife of Mulayam Singh Yadav's adopted son Prateek Yadav. Aparna Yadav left SP and joined BJP just before the 2022 assembly elections. Then there was a strong discussion that BJP could field Aparna Yadav from Lucknow Cantt seat in the 2022 assembly elections. But BJP did not give her a ticket.
Aparna contested the 2017 assembly elections from Lucknow Cantt seat on SP ticket but then she was defeated by BJP's Rita Bahuguna Joshi. When Aparna Yadav joined BJP, many big leaders of the party including Uttar Pradesh BJP President Swatantra Dev Singh and Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya had given Aparna Yadav BJP membership.
Did not get ticket in Assembly, Legislative Council elections
It was speculated after the 2022 assembly elections that BJP would give Aparna Yadav some big responsibility in the government or organization. After the 2022 assembly elections, when elections for Legislative Council members were held in Uttar Pradesh in June 2022, it was still believed that BJP could send Aparna Yadav to the Legislative Council. But Aparna Yadav had to face disappointment and the party did not give her a ticket.
After a long wait, the party gave responsibility to Aparna as Vice President of State Women's Commission but initially there were reports that Aparna Yadav was not happy with this responsibility and this was a disturbing situation for the BJP. Butr now Aparna has finally taken the charge of the post.
