Haryana Assembly Election 2024: Will Anil Vij join Nayab Saini Cabinet? Senior Leader Himself Responded

Haryana Assembly Election 2024: Following the BJP's victory in the Haryana assembly elections of 2024, a new government is set to be formed on October 17. The key question now is who will assume the Chief Minister's position in the new administration. Nayab Saini is currently seen as a leading candidate for the CM role, while BJP leaders Rao Inderjit Singh and former Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij have also expressed interest in the position. There is speculation that Anil Vij may return to the Haryana cabinet, but it remains uncertain whether he is prepared for this possibility. The BJP leader has addressed this question himself.

Vij had distanced himself from Saini cabinet

During the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar was asked to resign, leading to Nayab Saini being appointed as the new Chief Minister. At that time, BJP leader Anil Vij declined to join Saini's cabinet and was ultimately not included in it. Numerous media reports suggested that Anil Vij was dissatisfied with not being appointed Chief Minister, which contributed to his decision to distance himself from Saini's cabinet. The present situation has now raised similar questions once again.

Vij said he would present his views to High Command

Media reports indicate that when Anil Vij was asked about the possibility of receiving a new role in the Haryana Cabinet from the high command, he responded that he had not yet discussed the matter with anyone. He stated that if the high command makes a decision regarding this, he would present his views to them. Vij said he would then see what unfolds. Vij also emphasized that he has never declined any responsibility assigned to him by the high command.
