Voting is currently underway for the 90 seats in the Haryana Assembly Elections 2024. After casting her vote, Congress candidate Vinesh Phogat, a renowned female wrestler from Julana, expressed her enthusiasm for the elections, stating, "Everyone must go to vote. Ten years ago, when Hooda sahab was the Chief Minister, the level of sports was very different. We want to take along all the classes in Haryana."
Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, after voting in Karnal, made a bold prediction for his party, claiming, "We will get more than 50 seats this time." He added, "Everyone knows what is in the mind of the people. Everything will be clear on the 8th. This time the result will be better than the 2014 election result, and we will win more than 50 seats."
The results of this election, which is being conducted in a single phase, will be announced on October 8. Over 1,000 candidates from major parties, including the ruling BJP, Congress, INLD, Aam Aadmi Party, and JJP, are competing for the 90 seats.
The BJP has held power in Haryana for the past decade, while Congress is hopeful for a comeback in this election. Key candidates include Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini from the Ladwa seat, former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda from the Garhi Sampla-Kiloi seat, and Vinesh Phogat from the Julana seat.
