J&K Election 2024: After the release of exit polls for Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections-2024, National Conference (NC) President Farooq Abdullah has expressed happiness that NC and Congress are seen forming the government together. He said that PDP is ready to join us, this is a very good thing.
In fact, after the exit polls came out, PDP leader Zuhaib Yusuf Mir said that he is ready to form an alliance with National Conference and Congress to keep BJP out of power.
We all are on the same path: Farooq
Regarding this statement of the PDP leader, Farooq Abdullah said that congratulations to him. His thinking is commendable, we are all on the same path. We have to end hatred and keep Jammu and Kashmir together.
According to the exit polls released on Saturday, it appears that a coalition government between the National Conference and Congress may be formed. Out of 10 polls, 5 indicate that this coalition will secure a majority, while the other 5 suggest they may be 10 to 15 seats short of that goal.
The National Conference-Congress alliance is projected to win around 40 seats, while the BJP is expected to secure approximately 30 seats, and both the PDP and other parties are anticipated to obtain around 10 seats each.
Farooq Abdullah had refused to comment on the exit polls on Saturday. He had said that on October 8, all the results will be in front of you, the boxes will open and we will know who stands where, but I definitely know that the Congress-NC alliance will form the government with a majority.
PDP candidate from Lal Chowk assembly seat Zuhaib Yusuf Mir had said on Saturday that in our view the exit polls have no meaning, it is just a time pass thing, but we know that our party will be an important part of the secular government to be formed in Jammu and Kashmir. We had said earlier also that we are ready to take any step to save the identity of Kashmir. It is very important that we form a secular government which is against the BJP, not with it.
