Madhya Pradesh: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav addressed the discussion session and national seminar on ‘Global efforts for climate change: Contribution of states in India’s commitment’ at Kushabhau Thackeray International Convention Center on Monday.
On this occasion CM Mohan Yadav observed the terracotta crafts made by clay craftsmen Lakhan Kumar Prajapati and Bablu Prajapati of Bhopal. These crafts included idols of Lakshmi Mata, earthen lamps, and other artworks.
Prajapati showed a chirping magic bird made of a mixture of cow dung and clay to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and also presented a statue of Shrinath ji. CM Dr. Yadav appreciated Prajapati’s talent and contributed by making clay crafts himself. He said that Prime Minister Modi has inspired the entire country to support local artisans. Efforts are needed to encourage potters who create lamps, wicks, and decorative items and ensure they receive adequate economic benefits from their art.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav urged citizens to support the craftsmen by purchasing such products, emphasizing the importance of helping potters and laborers enjoy Diwali by buying locally made goods.
