Mumbai Building Fire: 7 people of same family burnt to death in Chembur


Mumbai Building Fire: 7 people of the same family, including 3 minors, were burnt to death in a massive fire in Chembur area of ​​Mumbai. The incident took place in Siddharth Colony at around 5 am on Sunday. It is being told that the fire broke out in the building due to a short circuit, there are shops on its ground floor and some families live on the first floor.


According to the police, a fire was reported in the building in Chembur around 5 am. There is a shop on the ground floor of the building, in which electrical goods were kept, after a short circuit here the fire spread rapidly and within no time it engulfed the upper floor. Members of a family on the first floor came under its grip.


Rescue operation underway


After the fire, a large-scale rescue operation is going on at the spot by the fire brigade team. So far the bodies of seven people have been recovered. The deceased included Paris Gupta, 7, Narendra Gupta, 10, Manju Prem Gupta, 30, Anita Gupta, 39, Prem Gupta, 30, Vidhi Gupta and Geeta Gupta. All were badly burnt and were immediately rushed to hospital where they were declared dead.
