Physical classes suspended in Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram and Faridabad also; Delhi gasps for breath as AQI crosses 500


Delhi Air Pollution: After the order of the Supreme Court, studies up to class 12 in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram and Faridabad will be done through online medium. Instructions have been issued by the administration for this. At the same time, Delhi CM Atishi has also announced that all schools in the capital will remain closed from Tuesday. Studies of children of class 10th and 12th will also be done through online medium.


In view of the ever-increasing pollution, the Supreme Court had expressed concern on Monday and the court had directed all the states to take an immediate decision on physical classes for children up to class 12. After this it has been decided to close schools up to class 12 at many places in Delhi-NCR. 


At the same time, studies of all the students in Delhi University will also be done through online medium. This will happen till this Saturday and then physical classes can start from next week. These orders have been issued on Monday.


Schools closed till 12th in Gurugram and Faridabad


After the implementation of GRAP 4 in Delhi-NCR, schools up to fifth standard were closed in Gurugram and studies were being done through online medium. At the same time, after the order of the Supreme Court, it has been decided to close schools up to 12th standard. Apart from this, schools will also remain closed till 12th in Faridabad. Students will study online in both the cities.


Schools also closed in Noida and Ghaziabad


The DM of Noida has issued an order that all schools from one to 12th will remain closed till November 23 and classes of all classes will be conducted through online mode. He also said in his order that the next decision will be taken after looking at the situation after November 23. At the same time, classes of students up to 12th standard will be held online in Ghaziabad adjoining Delhi. This order has been issued by the District Magistrate of Ghaziabad.


AQI crosses 500 in Delhi


After the implementation of GRAP-4 in Delhi, there has been no decline in the air AQI. According to the latest data of the Central Pollution Control Board, the AQI level has reached 500 in many areas of the capital like Anand Vihar, Bawana, Punjabi Bagh, Rohini, Shadipur, Sonia Vihar, Vivek Vihar, Wazirpur.


CPCB said that AQI of 500 was recorded in Anand Vihar at 7 am on Tuesday. Whereas AQI of Dwarka is 496. Also, AQI of Punjabi Bagh is 498. Apart from this, AQI of Rohini is also 500.


Delhi Chief Minister Atishi had said in a press conference on Monday regarding the increasing air pollution that stubble is being burnt across the country.


She had said, "Stubble is being burnt everywhere in Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan. The central government is sitting idle."
