On the second day of the winter session, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned for the day amid heavy uproar.
On Wednesday, a proposal was given by the Congress in both the Houses to hold a debate on the Adani case.
The Congress says that serious allegations of fraud have been leveled against Adani in the US and the government should hold a debate on it.
Outside the Parliament, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi told reporters that 'on the one hand, while hundreds of people are being arrested on petty charges, the government is working to save Adani.'
Just last week, Adani was accused of giving a bribe of $250 million to get a contract for one of his companies and hiding this matter.
After this, the Congress demanded the arrest of Gautam Adani and accused him of collusion with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi once again attacked Adani outside Parliament and said that he should be in jail.
Outside Parliament, he told reporters, "Do you think Adani will accept the charges? Naturally, he will deny. The issue is that as we said, he has to be arrested."
Rahul Gandhi has long been raising questions about Gautam Adani and his alleged closeness to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
However, the Adani Group has called these allegations baseless. It has also said that they will explore legal options.
