The prestigious India Travel Mart (ITM) exhibition, a leading travel and tourism event, commenced on Friday at Hotel Pride on Kolar Road. This three-day event features participation from tourism boards across India, including Madhya Pradesh, New Delhi, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, and India Tourism, along with numerous private stakeholders, aiming to promote the nation's tourism potential.
As the Christmas and New Year holidays approach, Pachmarhi, Orchha and other tourist spots are seeing increased interest from visitors. Tour operators said that hotel bookings during holiday periods have surged by 40-50 percent, underscoring the popularity of these destinations and the growing demand for more hill station options within the state.
The exhibition, running until November 10, offers a platform for the general public to learn about the diverse travel opportunities available within the country. The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, in particular, has taken an active role, engaging with visitors to highlight the state's rich tourism possibilities. The event has drawn travel agents and tour operators from across India, all focused on showcasing travel products, packages, and destinations.
Highlighting the Gems of Madhya Pradesh
The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board presented a variety of key tourism products at ITM, spotlighting destinations like Bhopal, Pachmarhi, Kanha, Bandhavgarh, and Orchha. Pachmarhi, known for its serene natural beauty and attractive hill station appeal, has drawn particular attention at the exhibition. The region’s lush landscapes and tranquil environment continue to attract travelers, especially during the holiday season.
