PM Modi greets Donald Trump, says look forward to renewing our collaboration

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi today congratulated Donald Trump on his historic victory in the US Presidential Election. Modi said he looked forward to renew the collaboration to further strengthen the India-US Comprehensive Global and Strategic Partnership.

PM Modi in a post on X wrote: "Heartiest congratulations my friend @realDonaldTrump on your historic election victory. As you build on the successes of your previous term, I look forward to renewing our collaboration to further strengthen the India-US Comprehensive Global and Strategic Partnership. Together, let’s work for the betterment of our people and to promote global peace, stability and prosperity."

China will suffer losses

According to Emkay Global, if Trump wins, Chinese stocks will suffer losses. On the other hand, India will benefit from this because Trump's victory will be strategically positive for India and FPI investment in the market will increase. The brokerage also said in its report that its equity strategic team believes that Trump's victory may lead to a short-term rally. The sustainability of this rally depends on earnings growth and valuation, both of which are weak at the moment.
