Border-Gavaskar Series: What did Rohit Sharma say about Virat Kohli's performance during Australia Tour?

Team India captain Rohit Sharma has defended his batsmen who are struggling with poor form.prior to the fourth match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Virat Kohli has scored a total of 126 runs in the last three matches, including a century.

On being asked about Kohli, Rohit Sharma said, "Today's great batsmen will make their own way."

In this series, the Indian team's top order batsmen Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant have also not performed according to expectations.

However, Jaiswal did play an innings of 161 runs in the Perth Test, but he has not been able to do well in the rest of the matches.

After being questioned about these three batsmen, Rohit Sharma said that he has faith in their abilities.

About Pant, he said, "There is no pressure on him. He was in good form in India and his record in Australia has also been good. We should not give decisions based on performance in two or three matches."

Rohit stated, "Gill, Jaiswal, and Pant are all in a similar situation. They understand their capabilities. We shouldn't add more pressure on them."

'Jaiswal has a lot of talent'

About Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma said, "Jaiswal has come here for the first time. He has already shown what he can do. He has a lot of talent. We shouldn't overwhelm him with too many ideas and suggestions about his batting. He knows his game best, and that's how he has been playing cricket."

Finally he said, "These batters know what is expected from them and our job is to tell them to pay attention to small things. I don't think we should create problems for their thinking process by talking more on this."

Team India won the first match of this series in Perth by 295 runs. But Team India lost in Adelaide and then the third test match in Brisbane was a draw.
