Chhattisgarh poised to become pharmaceutical hub of Central India: CM Vishnu Deo Sai Approves Development of Pharmaceutical Park, Details Inside


Chhattisgarh is poised to become the new pharmaceutical hub of Central India, following approval from CM Vishnu Deo Sai. To boost research, development, and attract international investment in the pharmaceutical sector, the Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Development Authority (NRDA) has allocated 141.84 acres of land to the Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation (CSIDC) for the establishment of a pharmaceutical park in Sector 22, Village Tuta.


The CM said that efforts are being made to develop a robust ecosystem in the medical sector within the state. To transform Chhattisgarh into a developed state by 2047, it is essential to strengthen health facilities and focus on people-oriented services. The establishment of the pharmaceutical park is a key component of this initiative. He also said that the new industrial policy includes provisions for various facilities and concessions aimed at supporting industries in the pharmaceutical sector.


Investment will get boost


The Chief Minister said that this project will increase domestic and international investment as well as promote healthy competition in the pharmaceutical sector and give impetus to the economy of Chhattisgarh along with providing employment to local youth. With the establishment of the pharmaceutical park, we will be able to easily meet the increasing demand for healthcare products at the domestic and global level. 


Park will be equipped with modern infra


Finance Minister OP Choudhary said that all the necessary facilities will be provided to pharmaceutical units specializing in AYUSH products in the pharmaceutical park. This park will be equipped with modern infrastructure including flattened factory complex and a Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP). Essential services like research and development center and testing laboratory will also be available.
