UP CM Adityanath Yogi's specially trained mounted police will be deployed in the Mahakumbh 2025 for crowd control. In Mahakumbh, Uttar Pradesh's mounted police is specially trained to facilitate the path of crores of devotees in both water and land. Where police personnel will not be able to reach on foot, the mounted police will go there and make the path of the devotees easy.
130 horses and 166 police personnel and staff have been deployed for effective police patrolling everywhere. In this, along with Indian breed horses, American and England breed horses will also do the work of crowd control in Mahakumbh. Special attention is being given to the diet and medical facilities of the horses deployed in the fair duty.
The role of mounted police will be important to maintain the security of the devotees during Mahakumbh 2025 to be held in Prayagraj. The use of mounted police for crowd control and patrolling in difficult areas is a symbol of efficiency and effectiveness.

Horses are receiving training
Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police Prashant Kumar said that the horses have been trained in a special way. The horses have been trained in Moradabad and Sitapur Training Center. In view of the Maha Kumbh, the Mounted Police has given special training to the horses so that they do not cause any harm to the devotees, but control the crowd and make a smooth path for them. The Mounted Police is adept at crowd management on land as well as in water.
Horses purchased from Army
Inspector Prem Babu of the Mounted Police Line said that for the Maha Kumbh Mela, American Balm Blood, England's Thro breed horse has been purchased from the Army. Apart from this, there are also horses of Indian breed. Some of these horses have also been purchased from the Army.
The Inspector of Police told that every day the horse mounted police go on patrol in the fair area in the morning and evening to familiarize the horses with the geographical conditions of the Maha Kumbh Mela area. Three veterinarians have also been appointed for the horses. He told that the force has horses of 4 to 5 years of age which retire at the age of 20 years.
