Delhi Assembly Elections 2025: What Kejriwal Said to PM Modi Seeking Concessions for Students in Delhi Metro

Former Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give concession to students in Delhi Metro.

Arvind Kejriwal has written in the letter that Delhi students are largely dependent on Metro to go to school and college.

He has written in the letter, "To reduce the financial burden on students, I propose to give 50 percent concession to students in Delhi Metro. The Delhi Metro is a collaborative project that is jointly funded by the Government of Delhi and the Central Government. Therefore, the expenditure on this should be borne equally by Delhi Government and Central Government."

He has also written in this letter that he is planning to make bus travel completely free for students. Arvind Kejriwal has expressed hope that the Prime Minister will agree to the proposal.

Kejriwal had earlier demanded to include Jats in OBC category

Kejriwal had recently demanded the central government to include the people of the Jat community in the OBC category and give them the benefit of reservation. For this, he also wrote a letter to Modi.

After this, he also met Jat leaders at his residence. Kejriwal had said that PM Modi had called the Jat community on 26 March 2015 and said that the Jat community, which is included in the OBC list of Delhi, will be included in the OBC list of the Center so that they can get the benefit of reservation in the colleges and jobs of the central government in Delhi.

BJP is going to release its manifesto today i.e. on 17 January regarding Delhi Assembly Elections 2025. Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda will release the BJP's manifesto. There is also a possibility that before the Sankalp Patra, BJP may announce some attractive schemes for the people of Delhi.

Assembly elections are to be held in Delhi on February 5. The results will be declared on February 8.
