The Meteorological Department has issued a cold wave alert in 9 districts including Jabalpur, Rewa Chhatarpur, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Rajgarh, Raisen, Tikamgarh, Panna, and Rewa.
Northern icy winds will blow
According to meteorologists, snowfall is happening in Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Ladakh. In the coming days, the snow will melt and northern wind will blow. Trains affected due to fog in Haryana
Due to dense fog in 40 districts of Uttar Pradesh, it was difficult to see more than 100 meters away.
30 trains were affected due to fog in Haryana. In this, 19 trains were delayed by 30 minutes to 6 hours. 11 trains had to be cancelled. Cold wave alert has been issued for 13 districts here.
Rajasthan experiencing severe cold
Temperature was recorded below 5 degrees in 3 cities of Rajasthan. Mercury was recorded at 2.2 degrees in Mount Abu. The Meteorological Department has said that the mercury may fall further in the coming days. Rajasthan is experiencing severe cold due to fog and cold wave.
The maximum day temperature in Ganganagar, Sikar of northern Rajasthan was recorded below 14 degrees Celsius. Due to dense fog and cold winds throughout the day, these cities experienced night-like cold even during the day.
Temp -11.5 in Gulmarg
The temperature in Gulmarg, famous for tourism in Jammu and Kashmir, was recorded at minus 11.5 degrees, while the temperature in Pahalgam was minus 8.4 degrees. Himachal Pradesh is also on snowfall alert for 6 days.
