Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Tuesday said that INDIA alliance will survive. He said certainly the 'India' alliance will continue to survive. If we do not keep the alliance alive, the opposition will not survive, he said.
On the Shiv Sena (UBT)'s announcement to contest the local body elections in Maharashtra alone, Sanjay Raut said, "Local body elections are of workers and it is difficult to form an alliance here."
On the question of no alliance between Congress and Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi, Sanjay Raut said, "It is true that the 'India' alliance was formed only for the Lok Sabha elections, but it is the need of the country and democracy to keep it intact."
"In Delhi, Congress and Aam Aadmi Party feel that they have their own strength. Both fought the Lok Sabha elections together, but could not win even a single seat."
Sanjay Raut said, "Congress is the big and national party in the alliance. It should be the responsibility of Congress to take us all together."
Congress and Aam Aadmi Party, which are part of the 'India' alliance, are not contesting the Delhi Assembly elections together.
Recently, former Bihar Deputy CM Tejaswi Yadav had also said that the alliance was formed for the Lok Sabha elections.
Now, questions are being raised on the 'India' alliance due to the announcement of Shiv Sena (UBT) to contest the local body elections alone in Maharashtra.
