CAG report on liquor policy presented in Delhi assembly, what was revealed?

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta presented the CAG report on liquor policy in the Delhi Assembly on Tuesday.

Even before Rekha Gupta presented the report, several Aam Aadmi Party MLAs, including Leader of Opposition and former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, were expelled from the Delhi Assembly for the day.

The CAG report said that the Delhi government has suffered a loss of more than Rs 2,000 crore due to the excise policy of 2021-22.

One of the 14 reports presented on the performance of the Aam Aadmi Party government said that rules wereviolated in the process of issuing licenses.

It said the recommendations of an expert panel set up to suggest changes to the now-defunct policy were ignored by then deputy chief minister and excise minister Manish Sisodia.

Does the BJP think that PM Modi is bigger than Ambedkar: Atishi

Earlier, several AAP MLAs, including Leader of Opposition and former Delhi CM Atishi, were expelled from the Delhi Assembly for the whole day.

After being expelled for the whole day for raising slogans during the address of Delhi LG Vinay Kumar Saxena, AAP MLAs including LoP Atishi have sat on a dharna in the assembly premises.

Atishi, who was sitting on the dharna, told media, "As soon as the Bharatiya Janata Party formed the government in Delhi, it removed the picture of Bhimrao Ambedkar and put up the picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi."

She said, "Does the BJP think that PM Modi is bigger than Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar?"

Atishi claimed that today when we raised slogans in the assembly for Baba Saheb Ambedkar, we were thrown out. But when the Bharatiya Janata Party MLAs raised slogans in Modi ji's name, not even a single leader of theirs was thrown out.

She said, "The BJP hates Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. We will oppose this until Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar's picture is put back in its place."
