Delhi Assembly Election 2025: Challenges Mount for Arvind Kejriwal, FIR Lodged in Haryana Ahead of Voting


Delhi Assembly Election 2025: An FIR was registered against Arvind Kejriwal in Haryana for his statement about 'poison' in Yamuna. This case has been registered in Shahbad police station of Kurukshetra local court.


On January 27, Kejriwal had accused of poisoning the water of Yamuna. Kejriwal had said that the people of Delhi get drinking water from Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. The BJP government of Haryana has poisoned the water of Yamuna.


Earlier on January 29, Sonipat court had also sent a notice to Kejriwal in this matter. An officer of Haryana Irrigation Department had filed a complaint in the court of Sonipat CJM Neha Goyal.


What did Kejriwal say?


Kejriwal had said- Haryana government has poisoned the water of Delhi. Delhi Jal Board stopped that water from coming to Delhi. The BJP government has mixed such poison in the water, which cannot be cleaned even by water treatment plants.


He had said that due to this, there is a shortage of water in one-third of Delhi. This has been done to create chaos in Delhi so that people of Delhi die and the blame falls on AAP.


A total of 699 candidates are in the fray for 70 assembly seats in Delhi. The current term of the assembly ended on 23 February. Voting will be held on 5 February, result will be declared on 8 February


The campaign for Delhi assembly elections ended at 5 pm on 3 February. Now voting will take place on Wednesday i.e. 5 February and the result will be declared on 8 February. On the last day of election campaign, AAP, BJP, Congress leaders did conducted mass contact.
