Delhi Assembly Elections-2025: Factionalism Erupts in Congress Following Voting, what Mudit Agarwal said about Sandeep Dikshit

Delhi Assembly Elections-2025: As the voting for the Delhi Assembly concludes, internal strife within the Congress party has come to the forefront. The election results are still pending, but Mudit Agarwal, son of former Delhi Congress President and MP JP Agarwal, has leveled serious allegations against Sandeep Dikshit, the Congress candidate from New Delhi and son of former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.

Mudit took to social media to voice his grievances, expressing his dissatisfaction with comments made by Sandeep regarding his father, Jai Prakash Agarwal. He stated, "Sandeep Dikshit ji, the comments you made on Jaiprakash Agarwal ji do not suit you. You are rarely seen in Delhi, only appearing when seeking a ticket for the Lok Sabha elections. You do not even respond to calls from party workers."

The factionalism within Congress has become evident in the capital of Haryana. Mudit continued, "The entire city respects Jaiprakash Agarwal ji, who, even at the age of 80, works tirelessly for the people of Delhi and the Congress party, far more than you do."

He further accused Sandeep Dikshit of pressuring the owner of Jagat Cinema, through his sister Latika, to remove Mudit's election office on behalf of Aam Aadmi Party candidate Punardeep Sahni. Mudit challenged Sandeep to reflect on his actions, reiterating that his comments about Jaiprakash Agarwal ji are inappropriate.

Sandeep Dikshit is known to have considerable influence within the Delhi Congress and direct connections to the party's high command. Given Mudit's allegations, it is likely that the situation will escalate to the higher echelons of the party, potentially leading to significant organizational changes following the election results.
