Delhi defeat also poses a threat to AAP in Punjab? Kejriwal in action mode, calls meeting of Punjab MLAs and ministers

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has suffered a crushing defeat in the assembly elections held for 70 seats in the national capital Delhi. The BJP has secured 48 seats, marking its return to power in the national capital after a 27-year absence and ending AAP's decade-long tenure. This loss is particularly notable as several prominent AAP leaders, including national convener and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, and Saurabh Bhardwaj, were unable to retain their seats.

After this crushing defeat of AAP, now Arvind Kejriwal has a big challenge to save the party from breaking up. Even before the Delhi assembly elections, many big and small leaders of Aam Aadmi Party have left the party and joined other parties including BJP or Congress. This includes Kailash Gehlot and other leaders.

Many more leaders of AAP may join BJP

This defeat is being seen as a major political blow for the Aam Aadmi Party, which has been in power in Delhi for the last ten years. Political experts believe that just before the elections, AAP, which is badly entangled in many serious cases like liquor scam, corruption, etc., is also facing a threat to its future. There is a discussion that after the change of power in the capital, many more leaders of Aam Aadmi Party may join BJP.

Danger bell for Punjab

This defeat is being considered a danger bell for Punjab apart from Delhi. If political commentators are to be believed, then after the defeat of Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi, the morale of the party leaders and workers in Punjab has suffered a big blow. Now Arvind Kejriwal himself has become active regarding this whole matter. AAP convenor has called a meeting of Punjab ministers and MLAs on February 11.

Gear up for mid-term polls in Punjab: Cong

At the same time, in different political discussions, it is also being said that after the defeat of Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi, the political equation in Punjab will change. There are talks of AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal now trying to become the Chief Minister of Punjab. Senior Congress leaders have also asked Punjab to gear up to prepare for mid-term elections. Congress leaders say that now there is a need to reconnect with those voters who had gone with AAP. This may include resolving the internal factionalism of Congress and promoting unity within the state unit.

35 MLAs of AAP ready to join another party: Cong MP

Congress MP from Gurdaspur Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has made a big claim. He said that after the defeat in Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party will disintegrate. Punjab should be ready for mid-term elections. Randhawa said that 35 MLAs of AAP are ready to join another party.
