Will AAP get another setback? Will Satyendra Jain go to Tihar again? Will Home Ministry get President’s approval?

The Home Ministry  has requested the President to grant prosecution sanction to file a case in court against the Aam Aadmi Party leader under Section 218 of the Indian Civil Security Code (BNS), 2023.

Delhi politics has taken a very interesting turn. As soon as the BJP came to power, the problems of the Aam Aadmi Party leaders have increased once again. Meanwhile, AAP minister Satyendra Kumar Jain has once again suffered a major setback. The Union Home Ministry has sought the President's permission to arrest AAP leader Jain.

According to sources, the Home Ministry has requested the President to file a case against Satyendra Kumar Jain on the basis of material received from the Enforcement Directorate. At the same time, some time ago a defamation petition was filed by the AAP leader against BJP MP from New Delhi Bansuri Swarj. The Rouse Avenue Court had reserved the decision on the petition filed by Satyendra Jain.

After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate ordered to pronounce the verdict by February 20. Earlier, Satyendra Jain, who was a minister in the Aam Aadmi Party, was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on 30 May 2022 in a money laundering case.
