Bihar: What did Tejashwi Yadav say while joining the protest against Waqf Amendment Bill?

The All India Muslim Personal Law Board protested against the Waqf Amendment Bill in Patna, Bihar on Wednesday. Rashtriya Janata Dal leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav also participated in it.

He said, "All of you have gathered in a big way to protest against the bill. Our party Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Lalu Prasad Yadav ji has come here today to support you people, despite his ill health."

Tejashwi said, "We do not care whether we stay in power or lose it. We had strongly opposed this unconstitutional, undemocratic bill in the House, in the Legislative Assembly and in the Legislative Council."

"We want to tell that in this fight of yours, we stand with you with full strength."

AIMPLB is creating controversy: Pal

Meanwhile, JPC Chairman and BJP MP Jagdambika Pal objected to this protest.

He said, "The way the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) is creating controversy and doing politics over Waqf, it is trying to mislead and create confusion among the minorities of the country, among the Muslims."

Earlier, on March 17, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board had protested against the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024 at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. During this, hundreds of Muslims reached to participate in the protest.
