Gadgets like laptops, smartphones, and Wi-Fi routers can become overheated, which may negatively impact their performance, causing them to slow down, hang, or shut down unexpectedly. This issue is particularly prevalent during the summer months. However, by adopting some simple tips, you can keep your devices cool even without air conditioning.
In the summer season, taking care of our electronic devices is just as important as looking after ourselves. By implementing the right measures, you can not only avoid overheating but also extend the lifespan of your devices.
Keep the device in a ventilated place
Keeping the devices in an open and ventilated place allows the heat to escape from them quickly. Keeping them stuck to a wall or solid surface can hinder ventilation, causing the device to heat up faster. Clean the vents provided in devices like laptops, routers and printers regularly so that the air flow remains correct and the device is protected from heating.
Keep away from direct sunlight
In summer, the strong rays of the sun already heat up the environment and if your laptop or mobile is kept in direct sunlight, it can heat up even faster. Avoid keeping the device near a window or in a place with sunlight. If the device is getting hot, it can be cooled by placing it near a fan or cooler.
Do not keep devices on top of each other
Many times people keep laptops, smartphones, tablets and chargers in one place, due to which the heat of all the devices starts getting transferred among themselves and they get heated rapidly. To prevent this, keep the gadgets separate so that the heat can be released properly. Cooling pads can also be used to keep the laptop cool.
Turn off the device when needed
If your smartphone or laptop is getting too hot, the best solution is to turn it off for some time. Give some time to the device to cool down and then use it again. This is the easiest and most effective way to protect it from heating.
