Russia Ukraine War: What Donald Trump said while announcing to go to Russia, hopes for ceasefire rise

US President Donald Trump has made a big statement regarding the Russia-Ukraine war. He said that recently a ceasefire has been agreed and now talks will have to be held with Russia. Ukraine has agreed to a 30-day ceasefire with Russia. Trump expressed hope that Russian President Vladimir Putin will also accept this decision.

He stressed the horror of the war, saying that explosions are constantly taking place in cities and innocent people are being killed. Trump made this remark after the Ukraine peace talks held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where he confirmed that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky agreed to a ceasefire.

The US delegation in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia was led by Senator Marco Rubio and National Security Advisor Michael Waltz. They met the delegation from Ukraine, which was led by Presidential Chief of Staff Andriy Yermak, Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiha and Defense Minister Rustam Umarov.

During the meeting, Ukraine announced its support for the Trump administration's proposal for a 30-day ceasefire. The decision comes after a public rift between the US and Ukrainian presidents at the White House, which stalled the talks.

Efforts will be made to persuade Russia: Trump

Trump said in a video message that Ukraine has agreed to a ceasefire and now efforts will be made to persuade Russia to agree to this. Trump said that we are now planning to go to Russia and hope that President Vladimir Putin will also agree to this. Violence continues in the cities, explosions are taking place, and innocent people are being killed. Our priority is to end this war. This is a call for a complete ceasefire, and we hope that Russia will also accept it. If we can convince Russia to do this, it will be a great success.

US to end its ban on military aid and intelligence sharing to Ukraine

At the same time, Ukraine also indicated that it was ready for a 30-day ceasefire with Russia, which would be under the Kremlin's agreement.
