Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav met with Mr. Michael Howell, Managing Partner of Germany-based INAVIA Aviation, at the Mantralaya on Wednesday. During the courtesy call, discussions were held regarding a proposal to establish a state-of-the-art Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) facility in Madhya Pradesh.
Howell expressed interest in initiating investment in Madhya Pradesh's aviation sector, with plans to recycle decommissioned aircrafts and supply them to interested airlines. The company intends to make an initial investment of Rs 500 crore, with a vision to scale up to Rs 2,000 crore in a phased manner.
The proposed MRO facility will include component manufacturing, CND checks, and engine repair services.
This investment is expected to boost the aviation infrastructure in the state, generate significant employment opportunities, and position Madhya Pradesh as a key hub for aviation services in the region.
