Excessive use of oil


If more oil is used in food while cooking, it can cause more calories and the food also becomes more oily. Such food is not right from the health point of view. Therefore, oil should be used as little as possible.


Cooking food in more water


Using too much water for cooking can reduce the nutrients of vegetables. Steam the vegetables instead of boiling them. The water in which you boiled the vegetables can be used to make soup or sauce.


Overcooking


People cook vegetables for a long time to make them tasty. But cooking or frying vegetables for a long time reduces the amount of nutrients present in them, such as vitamins, minerals and enzymes. Therefore, vegetables should not be overcooked. Especially green leafy vegetables lose their nutrients when overcooked.


Cooking on high flame


Cooking on high flame can reduce the quality of nutrients in food items. Therefore, you should always cook vegetables on low flame. It is better to use low flame for cooking, so that the nutrients remain intact.


Reuse of oil


Many people use the same oil used for making Bhatura or Puri to cook other vegetables, which is not good for health. Additionally, reusing burnt oil can be harmful. Therefore, one should avoid making these mistakes while cooking.
