Japan is once again in the headlines with its unique discovery in the world of technology. Kawasaki company has developed a state-of-the-art robot that is designed for human ride. The name of this four-legged robot is "Kawasaki Bex Corleo", which can also be seen as a robotic horse.
Kawasaki has made an amazing move reminiscent of concepts from science fiction movies. Their latest invention is not a motorcycle, quad bike, or electric scooter, but a four-legged robotic horse named CORLEO. This is not just a simple prototype; it is a real project that will be showcased at the Osaka Expo 2025, starting on April 13.
What is 'Corleo'?
Corleo is a four-legged robot designed in such a way that humans can travel by sitting on it. It can reach areas where traditional wheel-based vehicles i.e. vehicles with wheels cannot go. Its main purpose is to make the movement of goods and humans easier in difficult and inaccessible areas.
Like a horse in appearance, walks like a machine
This robot looks like an animal, especially a large goat or horse, and its walking style also feels the same. Its name "Corleo Bex" is part of Kawasaki's project, which has been designed keeping in mind the next generation of mobility solutions.
Where will it be used?
It can be used especially in areas where there are rough roads or where normal vehicles cannot reach - such as mountainous areas, forests, or disaster-affected areas. This robot can also prove useful in search and rescue operations, military, and agricultural fields.
Kawasaki's technological revolution
Kawasaki has given this robot a strong and balanced structure which not only makes the ride safe but also gives the ability to walk with balance. "Coralio" is not only useful for human riding, but features of automatic and remote operation are also being available in it.
