Assembly elections are to be held in Bihar within about 6-7 months. The political temperature here has started rising rapidly. To gain the trust of the people of Bihar, many big leaders are camping in Bihar. Sometimes PM Modi visits, sometimes Congress leader Rahul Gandhi comes.
In this election environment of Bihar, Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar has been camping in Bihar for the last several days. For the last 27 days, Kanhaiya Kumar has been undertaking 'Palayan Roko, Naukri Do Yatra', which concluded on Thursday in Patna.
This yatra started on March 16 last month from the historic Gandhi Ashram in West Champaran, the purpose of the yatra was to spread public awareness against unemployment, migration and neglect of youth in Bihar.
'The youth of Bihar have been cheated'
Congress has put all its strength into the conclusion of the yatra in Patna. Former Deputy CM of Rajasthan and Congress leader Sachin Pilot also arrived in Patna, where he targeted both the Central and Bihar governments. Sachin Pilot said, "The youth of Bihar have been cheated repeatedly; the promises that were made are still unfulfilled."
When asked about Tejashwi Yadav potentially becoming the Chief Minister, Sachin Pilot said that if a majority is obtained, further decision will be taken by the Congress Committee and Congress high command.
'It is the govt's responsibility to provide employment'
Kanhaiya Kumar said that the issues raised by the youth and common people across the state during this padyatra will be compiled into a demand letter and presented to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Kanhaiya reiterated that the ongoing migration from Bihar must be stopped. He said that it is the government's responsibility to provide respectable employment to the youth.
