BJP is going to make a big change in the organization soon. The process of election of the National President of BJP can start after April 20. In the last few days, a lot of hustle and bustle has been seen at the top level of BJP in Delhi regarding this. An important meeting of the BJP was held at PM Modi's residence in New Delhi, in which senior leaders of the party and RSS like Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh and BL Santosh participated.
If reports are to be believed, in this meeting, there was also brainstorming about the change in the party's organization and the new national president. A media report quoted reliable sources of the party as saying that currently five names are being discussed and it is possible that this time the command of the party could be handed over to a leader from Karnataka.
BJP sources said that right now the name of Union Minister Pralhad Joshi is ahead in the race to become the new national president. Apart from these, sources have also revealed 4 more names. But in addition to these five leade4rs, a sixth leader has also joined the race for the post of party president.
A surprising name has emerged
A surprising name that has emerged in the race is that of a sixth leader, who has been completely missing in this discussion till now. This unexpected and surprising name is of Manoj Sinha.
Manoj Sinha is Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor. According to a senior BJP source, Prime Minister Modi is often known for taking unexpected decisions, so if Manoj Sinha is made the national president, it will definitely be surprising, but not impossible. Sources also believe that the next president may be a relatively young face.
The five leaders who are in the race are:
Pralhad Joshi
If sources of Bharatiya Janata Party are to be believed, Prahlad Joshi is likely to be made the next national president of the party. Joshi is currently an MP from Dharwad and is handling the charge of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and Renewable Energy in the Central Government. His political journey started with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and now he has become an important face in the Modi government.
Dharmendra Pradhan
Dharmendra Pradhan's name has been in the discussion for the post of president for a long time. He has many qualities like association with RSS, organizational skills and expertise in election strategy. He is currently an MP from Sambalpur (Odisha) and has been playing an important role in BJP's election preparations.
Bhupinder Yadav
MP from Rajasthan Bhupinder Yadav is also being considered a strong option for the post of national president. He is heading the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and has special expertise in organizational work. Due to his association with the Sangh and strategic capabilities, his name is also being taken prominently within the party.
C.T. Ravi
Karnataka's influential leader CT Ravi is also in the race. He has been an MLA from Chikmagalur four times and has also served as a minister in the state government. His aggressive style and deep association with RSS have made him one of the possible faces for the post of national president. Currently, he is a member of the Karnataka Legislative Council.
B.L. Santosh
B.L. Santosh, who comes from Karnataka, is also one of the possible contenders for the post of national president. He has been a full-time pracharak of RSS and is playing an important role in the BJP organization. This post, which acts as a bridge between the party and the Sangh, is considered very important from the organizational point of view. According to sources, if Santosh is given this responsibility, then Sunil Bansal can be given the role of organization general secretary, as was done earlier in the case of Kushabhau Thakre.
