Scripting a new chapter in the world of technology, a boxing match between robots was recently held for the first time in a competition called the World Robot Competition. In this historic fight, the robots exchanged powerful kicks and punches. The match was broadcast live on China Central Television.
Four robots took part in the competition
A total of four robots took part in this competition held in Hangzhou, China. Each robot stood at 132 cm, or approximately four and a quarter feet tall, and weighed about 32 kg. All the robots were of the same size and strength, which added to the excitement of the match.
Human Trainers Operated Them Remotely
The robots that entered the boxing ring were operated by human trainers through remote control. The trainers directed their every move using a joystick, ensuring that the match remained completely controlled and safe.
Robots were developed by China's leading company
These robots were developed by China's leading company, Unitree Robotics. The company has previously released videos showcasing their robots running at high speeds. In one video, they claimed that their robot is the world's fastest running machine, capable of running effortlessly on various surfaces.
