After Ram Path, Bhakti Path and Janmabhoomi Path, now the construction of Bharat Path is proposed in Ayodhya. This new route will connect Bharatkund, the place of penance (tapasya) of Lord Rama's younger brother and ascetic Bharat, to Ram Path, which will provide more convenience to the devotees in darshan and worship. This information was given in a government statement. The estimated cost of this project is Rs 900 crore.
The Bharat Path will be nearly 20 km, starting at the Ranopali railway crossing along Ram Path and extending to Bharatkund via Vidyakund and Darshan Nagar on the Prayagraj Highway. It is a two-lane road at present and the plan is to widen the route to include 9-metre lanes on both sides and a 2.5-metre central divider. This design will ensure that the road is smooth as well as safe and well-organised for traffic management. Bharat Path is planned to be developed on the lines of Ram Path, providing devotees a better experience.
The Public Works Department has sent the proposal of Bharat Path to the headquarters. This route will not only enhance the religious significance of Ayodhya, but it will also further establish the city as a world-class religious and cultural center. According to a statement, the development of Ayodhya as a global religious and cultural hub is progressing rapidly under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi.
After the construction of Ram temple, there has been an unprecedented increase in the number of devotees. Lakhs of people from the country and abroad are reaching Ayodhya daily to see Ram Lalla. To provide smooth and safe traffic facilities to this increasing crowd, the government is constructing and widening many routes. Apart from Ram Path, Bhakti Path, Janmabhoomi Path, and now Bharat Path, work is also going on to widen the Panchkosi and Chaudahkosi Parikrama routes.
