Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) national president Lalu Prasad Yadav has expelled his elder son and MLA Tej Pratap Yadav from the party for six years.
On Sunday, Lalu Yadav wrote in a post on social media that his elder son (Tej Pratap)'s "activities, public conduct and irresponsible behavior are not in accordance with our family values and sanskaar."
Earlier on Saturday, a picture was posted from Tej Pratap Yadav's Facebook account. However, a few hours later that picture was deleted.
After this, Tej Pratap Yadav posted on X saying that his social media handles have been hacked and efforts are being made to defame and harass him.
At the same time, Janata Dal United has also reacted to Lalu Yadav's post. Party spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan said that "Lalu is trying to fool people."
In this case, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly and Tej Pratap's younger brother Tejashwi Yadav said that "Tej Pratap is an adult and he has the right to take decisions related to his personal life."
Personal life is different from political life: Tejashwi
Talking to media, Tejashwi said, "One thing is clear, we neither like nor tolerate all these things. We are doing our work, we are dedicated to Bihar. As far as my elder brother (Tej Pratap Yadav) is concerned, personal life is different from political life."
Tejashwi said, "He is an adult and he has the right to take decisions about his personal life. It is his decision, what is right, what is harmful, he should take his own decisions. We do not like such things and cannot tolerate it either."
Tejashwi Yadav said that he came to know about the incident that happened on Saturday through the media. He said, "We do not know what he is doing or not doing in his life. It is only through the media that we came to know about this."
Social media post created uproar
Tej Pratap Yadav recently shared a picture with a woman from his Facebook account and wrote that they have been in a relationship for the last 12 years. As soon as this post went viral, there was uproar. Later, Tej Pratap clarified that his social media account was hacked and his pictures were tampered with. But this clarification also did not go in his favor and ultimately Lalu Yadav himself expelled him from the party and family.
