Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the Women Empowerment Conference on the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai at Bhopal on Saturday, 31 May. At the grand conference organized at Bhopal’s Jamboree Ground, PM Modi will virtually inaugurate Indore Metro and Satna & Datia airports.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will perform virtual foundation stone laying for ghats construction work costing Rs. 778 crore on the Kshipra river. The Prime Minister will also transfer the first installment for 1271 new Atal Gram Seva Sadan (Panchayat Bhavan) costing Rs. 483 crore.
The conference will be attended by Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, and Union Minister of Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. The Ministry of Culture is also coordinating the organization of this conference.
Foundation Stone Laying and Inaugurations
· On 31 May, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually lay the foundation stone for construction work related to the upcoming Simhastha Mahaparv 2028 in Ujjain from Bhopal.
· The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the Rs. 778.91 crore ghats construction. This construction will extend 29 kilometers from Shani Temple to Nagda Bypass.
· Foundation stone will also be laid for barrage, stop dam, and vented causeway costing Rs. 83.39 crore, which will help maintain water flow in the Shipra and Khan rivers.
· The Municipal Corporation will also begin repair work on the Kaliyadeh stop dam costing Rs. 1.39 crore.
· These water structures will stabilize river water levels and provide safe bathing facilities for devotees and saints.
· The timeline for this ambitious project is set for 30 months, so all facilities are fully available during the Simhastha Mahaparv.
· This project will further strengthen Ujjain’s religious and cultural significance and provide a major facility to millions of devotees during Simhastha Mahaparv.
Datia Airport
· On 31 May, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate the newly constructed Datia Airport from Bhopal.
· This airport will give new flight to Datia’s development and provide convenience to devotees in travel.
· Facilities include drinking water, tents, security, parking, cleanliness, medical, ambulance, etc.
· Considering the summer, arrangements for ORS packets, temporary hospital, trauma center, etc. have been made.
· Built at a cost of Rs. 60 crore, the airport spreads over 124 acres with a 1.81 km runway, two check-in counters, and parking for 50 cars.
· Fly Big Airlines will operate 19-seater flights four days a week.
Satna Airport
· Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate Satna Airport from Opal on 31 May.
· The old runway of Satna was reconstructed into a modern airport at a cost of Rs. 37 crore.
· Construction was completed on 31 October 2024 in record time.
· DGCA issued a license for airport operations on 20 December 2024.
· A 1200-meter runway has been prepared, capable of handling 19-seater aircraft.
· Parking for two aircraft is available at the same time.
· The airport has a 750 sq. meter terminal building, ATC tower, VIP lounge, facilities for specially-abled persons, and complete security arrangements.
· A total 5.5 km boundary wall has been constructed for security.
· The airport’s operation will bring new opportunities for industry, tourism, education, and health sectors in Satna and the entire Vindhya region.
Indore Enters a New Era
· Indore, the cleanest city in India, is entering a new era. On Saturday, 31 May 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate passenger service on the super priority corridor of Indore Metro from Bhopal.
· This corridor is approximately 6 km long, part of the Yellow Line. It includes five stations: Gandhinagar Station, Super Corridor 6 Station, Super Corridor 5 Station, Super Corridor 4 Station, and Super Corridor 3 Station.
· The corridor will reduce traffic and pollution and provide comfortable travel for passengers.
· The super priority corridor is not only technologically important but also symbolizes Indore’s progress toward modernity.
Indore Metro Project of 31.32 km
· Indore has a metro project of total length 31.32 km, including 22.62 km elevated and 8.7 km underground metro.
· Yellow line will have 28 stations, making urban travel easier, faster, and environmentally friendly.
· The total cost of the 31.32 km metro project is approximately Rs. 7500 crore.
· Initially, a 6 km corridor costing about Rs. 1520 crore is being inaugurated.
· This project is a significant step toward making Indore a modern, environment-friendly city.
Permanent Buildings for Panchayats
· The Prime Minister will transfer the first installment for 1271 new Atal Gram Good Governance buildings costing Rs. 483 crore.
· Construction of Atal Gram Good Governance buildings will provide permanent buildings to Gram Panchayats.
· Panchayats will get assistance for administrative work, meetings, and record management.
