A youth has succumbed to COVID-19 in Thane city of Maharashtra. Thane Municipal Corporation has given this information.
According to the information given on the website of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, there are currently 56 active cases of corona in Maharashtra.
The youth who died of corona in Thane was 21 years old. He was admitted to the hospital on May 22 due to severe diabetes. After this, his corona test came positive on Friday i.e. 23 May.
At the same time, an 84-year-old man died of corona in Bangalore, who was already suffering from many diseases. His test later came out positive. Both these cases have alerted the local administration. There are currently 18 active cases in Thane, while 32 cases have been reported in Bangalore so far.
Corona patients increasing
Corona patients are increasing rapidly in the country. On Friday, 20 people were found corona infected in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, 4 in UP, 5 in Haryana and a 9-month-old child in Bengaluru. Thus, there are 312 active cases of corona in the country so far.
Gujarat has so far reported a total of 40 cases, out of which 33 are active. Delhi's Health Minister Pankaj Singh said that till Thursday, 23 cases have been registered in the capital. 4 new patients were found in Ghaziabad, UP. Three patients have been kept in isolation, while one is admitted in the hospital. Meanwhile, 5 patients have been found in Haryana in 48 hours. These include 2 women as well. All these patients do not have any international travel history.
After new cases were reported in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, the central government has reviewed the situation. A high-level meeting was held under the leadership of the Health Secretary, in which the current situation and medical preparations were discussed. In view of the increasing cases of corona, hospitals have been put on alert mode and instructions have been given to arrange all the necessary resources.
Hospitals told to make all arrangements
At the same time, the Delhi government has also issued an advisory regarding Covid-19. The government has asked all hospitals to keep full arrangements for beds, oxygen, medicines and vaccines.
All hospitals in Delhi have been instructed to send all positive Covid samples to Lok Nayak Hospital for genome sequencing. All institutions will have to upload their reports daily on the Delhi Health Data Portal. This advisory has been issued at a time when countries like Pakistan, China, Thailand and Singapore are witnessing an increase in corona cases.
Woman found positive in Noida
At the same time, a 55-year-old woman has been found to be COVID-19 positive in Noida. This information was given by Gautam Buddha Nagar CMO Narendra Kumar.
He said, "This case of corona in Gautam Buddha Nagar has been confirmed after RTPCR test. After this, we are making all our logistics available for testing in preparation to fight Covid."
The CMO said, "There is no need to panic." Recently, new cases of corona have started coming again in many Asian countries including India.
