India informed the media about the attack on Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir by holding a press briefing in New Delhi.
Indian Army Colonel Sophia Qureshi, who was present at the press briefing, said that the Indian armed forces launched 'Operation Sindoor' between 1:05 am and 1:30 am on the night of 6-7 May 2025.
She said, "This operation was launched to give justice to the innocent civilians and their families who were victims of the gruesome terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April. In this action, nine terrorist camps were targeted and completely destroyed."
Colonel Sophia claimed that 'terrorist infrastructure' was being built in Pakistan for the last three decades. Colonel Sofia said that these 'terrorist structures' are spread in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
India exercised its right to respond and resist cross-border attacks: Mistri
On the other hand, India's Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri has said that India has attacked Pakistan administered Kashmir and Pakistan's 'terrorist infrastructure' while exercising its right to respond and resist cross-border attacks.
In a press briefing, Misri said that 'India's action has been focused, measured and non-provocative.'
Mistri said that the Pahalgam attack was extremely barbaric. He said that the aim of this attack was to disrupt the normal situation in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the aim was to keep this union territory backward by harming development. Apart from this, an attempt was also made to incite communal riots in the country.
Misri said, "The investigation of the Pahalgam attack has revealed the links of terrorists with Pakistan." He said that Pakistan did not take any steps to destroy the 'terrorist infrastructure'.
The Foreign Secretary said that after the Pahalgam attack, the United Nations had also issued a statement in this regard. He said that India's action today (Tuesday night) should be seen in this context.
