A new initiative between India and Pakistan has indicated a change in the situation on the border. In an important meeting of the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) of both the countries, it was agreed that neither bullets will be fired on the border nor any aggressive military action will be taken. Recently, the Indian Army had destroyed many terrorist hideouts under 'Operation Sindoor', due to which the situation had become tense.
But now both the sides have held another DGMO level talks in an attempt to adopt a peaceful path. The talks ended at 5 pm on Monday and it was discussed to reach a consensus on many important points. An attempt has been made to achieve many good things from this DGMO level talks between India-Pakistan.
A new chapter can be added in the relations between the two countries
This agreement between the two countries shows that after a long time a possible path to peace is being prepared. Peace on the borders and reduction in the number of soldiers can bring relief to the common people. If this initiative is successful, a new chapter can be added in the relations between the two countries, where dialogue will be more effective than weapons.
After the talks, the Indian military officer clearly said that till now India has shown restraint but if Pakistan violates the ceasefire again, then its answer will be very strict. India had already sent this warning through 'hotline message'. It was also told that the Indian armed forces are fully prepared for any challenge and their response will be focused and balanced.
A serious response will be given to any violation
In the DGMO level talks between India and Pakistan, it was also decided that the number of soldiers deployed on the border and forward posts will be reduced soon so that the tension can be rooted out. Both the countries said that they will fully abide by this promise of peace and a serious response will be given to any violation.
India targeted nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and POK on 7 May under 'Operation Sindoor'. This action was taken in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack. 35 to 40 Pakistani soldiers were killed in this operation, which was a big success for India. Only after this, there was a sudden announcement of stopping military operations between the two countries, which is being considered a turning point.
