Ahmedabad plane crash report: What did Indian Pilots Association said; what did Civil Aviation Minister said?
Airline Pilots Association of India (ALPA India) has reacted to the initial report of Ahmedabad Air India plane crash. It has raised concerns on the method of investigation.
According to media reports, the Pilot Association has alleged that "qualified people were not included in the investigation".
Captain Sam Thomas, President of ALPA India, said in the statement, "We feel that this investigation is being done by considering the pilots guilty and we object to this thinking."
According to the initial investigation report of the plane crash, both the engines of the plane stopped a few seconds after takeoff.
The report also reveals the conversation between the two pilots of the plane.
As soon as the fuel supply of the engine stopped, the speed of Engine 1 and Engine 2 started decreasing from the takeoff level.
According to the report, in the cockpit voice recording, one pilot asks the other why he cut off? The other pilot replied that he did not do so.
It is still not clear who asked this question and who answered it. The Pilot Association has appealed to the authorities to include them in the investigation process.
The statement said, "We once again appeal to include us as observers so that the necessary transparency is maintained in the investigation."
We should wait for the final report: Minister
Meanwhile, Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu has appealed to the people not to draw any conclusions based on the preliminary investigation report of the Ahmedabad plane crash.
Speaking to the media on Saturday, he said, "At this time we should not reach any conclusion. We should wait for the final report."
Ram Mohan Naidu said, "I believe that we have the best workforce in the world in terms of pilots and crew. Pilots and crew are the basis of the aviation industry."
On the report, he said, "This is a preliminary report. The ministry is analyzing it. It will be right to comment on it only when the final report comes." He has expressed hope that the final report will come soon.
