During the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar ahead of Bihar Assembly Election-2025, the house-to-house investigation by BLOs has revealed the presence of a large number of people from Nepal, Bangladesh and Myanmar. Sources say that the shocking thing is that these people have also acquired all the necessary documents like Aadhar card, residence certificate, ration card.
Actually, the claim has been made by Election Commission sources. At the same time, according to Election Commission (ECI) sources, these cases will be thoroughly investigated from August 1 to August 30, 2025. If the allegations are found to be true, such names will not be included in the final voter list (to be published on September 30, 2025).
Kapil Sibal said- Aim is to ensure that majority govts remain in power
Rajya Sabha MP and senior lawyer Kapil Sibal said that the Election Commission has always been a puppet of the Modi government. The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list in Bihar is unconstitutional. Its purpose is to ensure that majority governments remain in power.
Sibal also said that every Election Commissioner has surpassed his predecessor in coordinating with the government. Deciding on citizenship does not come under the jurisdiction of the Election Commission.
A planted story: RJD
On the Election Commission's claim of foreigners being in Bihar, RJD MP Manoj Jha said, 'I do not understand who is this source. If there is even one foreigner in Bihar, then who is responsible for this? This question should be asked to the Home Minister of the country.'
Describing it as a planted story, Manoj Jha said, 'Seeds of hatred are being sown through this. Do not exaggerate this issue.'
