Bihar Assembly Elections 2025: AIMIM Writes to Lalu Yadav - Why Is the Decision Not Easy for the RJD Chief?

All political parties have started preparing for the Bihar assembly elections-2025. Meanwhile, AIMIM's efforts to join the grand alliance have been revealed. In fact, the president of Bihar AIMIM Akhtarul Iman has written a letter to RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav after obtaining Owaisi's permission in this regard.

In the letter, AIMIM has expressed clear intent to join the alliance. Now the ball is in Lalu Prasad Yadav's court. He has to take the final decision on this.

However, this letter of AIMIM is a double-edged sword for the grand alliance. Opposition parties often accuse Owaisi of being the BJP's B team. In response, Owaisi has taken the initiative to join the alliance. If AIMIM joins the alliance, it will strengthen its position as a party in the state. If there is no entry into the alliance, at the very least, the Opposition will not be able to label it as the BJP's B team.

RJD finds itself in a dilemma

RJD finds itself in a dilemma. If AIMIM is included in the alliance, at least 10 seats will need to be allocated, as AIMIM had 5 MLAs in the last election. However, four of the MLAs later joined RJD. If AIMIM is not included in the alliance, Owaisi could pose a challenge for RJD by contesting elections statewide. In this situation, the question arises: can kites fly with lanterns?

Owaisi has announced 2 candidates

The special thing is that Owaisi has already announced candidates on two seats of Seemanchal. In such a situation, if an alliance happens, then the Grand Alliance will have to adjust. Apart from this, Owaisi has expressed his intention to contest elections on many seats outside this Seemanchal. This is a direct blow to the political dreams of the Grand Alliance.

AIMIM should stay away from elections: RJD MP Manoj Jha

Meanwhile, RJD has put a damper on All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen's (AIMIM) desire to become a part of the Mahagathbandhan. On Friday, RJD MP Manoj Jha said that AIMIM should stay away from elections in Bihar and support the Mahagathbandhan in principle.

This statement of Manoj Jha has come on the third day of AIMIM state president Akhtarul Iman writing a letter to RJD supremo Lalu Prasad for alliance. It is clear from this that RJD is not going to give any positive reply to that letter.
