ED has raided the house of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in Bhilai. The ED team reached Bhupesh Baghel's residence in three vehicles at 6 am. A large number of CRPF personnel were also deployed.

Action connected with liquor scam
According to initial information, this action is connected with the well-known liquor scam in the state. This is not the first time that a raid has been carried out by the ED, as the probe agency had also raided several locations linked to senior Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel and his son Chaitanya Baghel on March 10 in connection with an alleged multi-crore liquor scam.
After seizing cash from his house, a note counting machine also had to be ordered. At that time the ED team returning after conducting the raid was also attacked. Now once again ED has raided. The ED team had also raided the house of many of Baghel's close aides.

Bhupesh Baghel posted on Instagram about the ED raid. He wrote, "ED has arrived. Today is the last day of the assembly session. The issue of trees being cut in Tamnar for Adani was to be raised today. "Saheb" has sent ED to Bhilai residence."
