At present, the players have been advised not to go out of the hotel where Team India is staying in Birmingham city. The reason behind this is the discovery of a suspicious package in the Centenary Square of the city. Team India's hotel is in the same area. After this the atmosphere there has become tense. \

On Tuesday, July 1, the city of Birmingham was in its dazzling glory as usual. Meanwhile, at 3 pm, Birmingham City Center Police received information about a suspicious package in Centenary Square. After this there was a stir there. Then the police turned the area around Centenary Square into a security cordon. After this incident, the players of Team India were advised not to leave their hotel.

After finding the suspicious object, Birmingham City Center Police posted on the social media platform X and wrote, "We have cordoned off the area around Centenary Square in Birmingham City Center and are investigating a suspicious package. We received information about this just before 3 pm. As a precaution, several buildings have been evacuated while it is being investigated. Please avoid going to that area."

After this incident in Birmingham, Team India was told not to leave the hotel. A BCCI source told media that after the post made by Birmingham City Centre Police, the players have been advised not to go out. An hour after the suspicious items were found, the police removed the security cordon.
