Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will lay the foundation stone of 'Dr Rajendra Prasad Bihar Gaurav Park' based on the theme of Waste to Wonder near Bansghat in Patna on Wednesday.

CM Nitish said today, I inspected the site of the 'Waste to Wonder' theme park to be developed between the Samadhi Sthal of Deshratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad Ji and JP Ganga Path at Bans Ghat. The Samadhi Sthal of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan Ji is also near this Samadhi Sthal, which I directed to be developed.

Road Construction Minister Nitin Naveen said that Dr. Rajendra Prasad Bihar Gaurav Park will be a permanent and culturally vibrant place. It will not only reflect the past of the state, but will also give a new direction to tourism and environment.

Park will preserve the rich cultural heritage of Bihar

Giving this information, Road Construction Minister Nitin Naveen said that this park will not only promote environmental protection and tourism, but will also preserve the rich cultural heritage of the state. Artistic statues and structures will be made using junk and waste material in this park based on the theme 'Waste to Wonder'. 

The construction of this park spread over ten acres will cost about Rs 15 crore. The objective of this project is to give strength to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and bring the 'Waste to Wealth' model to the ground.

Statues of famous monuments of the state will be prepared 

Minister Naveen said that this park will be very special as statues of famous monuments of the state will be prepared in the park from items like tyres, broken bangles, pipes, electric waste, bottles and metal scrap. These will include historical sites like Vishwa Shanti Stupa, Nalanda University, Vishnupad Temple, Ashoka Pillar, Sher Shah Suri's Tomb, Mundeshwari Temple, Punaura Dham, Barabar Cave.

Key attractions of park

Naveen said that the park is being designed in such a way that it becomes a center of attraction for people of all ages. It will have means of entertainment for families, activity zone for children, food court and beautiful green environment.

Decoration around the park and the food court

Minister Naveen said that the decoration around the park and the food court will be done with traditional folk arts of Bihar like Madhubani painting, Manjusha art, Tikuli art and Sujni embroidery. He said that the Urban Development Department is developing this project under the Chief Minister's 'Waste to Wonder' vision, which aims to spread environmental awareness by making useless items useful and to spread awareness to the people through beauty.
