Madhya Pradesh: Rajnath Singh to perform Bhoomi Pujan of rail coach unit on Aug 10 in Raisen in presence of CM Mohan Yadav; coaches of Vande Bharat, Amrit Bharat and Metro will be made; state set to become rail manufacturing hub
Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that on the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state is getting a big gift of Rail Coach Unit. Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will perform the Bhoomi Pujan of the project on August 10 at Dussehra Ground in Obedullaganj.
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Defense Production Secretary Sanjeev Kumar, Railway Board Chairman Satish Kumar, Bharat Earth Movers Project Chairman Shantanu Rai are participating in the program.
The Brahma Project (BEML Rail Hub for Manufacturing) to be built by Bharat Earth Movers Project at a cost of Rs 1800 crore on more than 60 hectares of land in village Umaria of Raisen near the border of Bhopal district will benefit the capital Bhopal as well as districts like Raisen, Sehore and Vidisha. Employment opportunities will be created for the students studying in technical institutes of these districts.
Over 5000 people will get direct and indirect employment
More than 5 thousand people will get direct and indirect employment in the project. Bhopal region, which is developing as a metropolitan city, will benefit greatly from this project. This project is a manifestation of the spirit of the Make in India mission.
The coaches of the Vande Bharat-Amrit Bharat and Metro trains to be built here will usher in a new era for the entire Indian railway system. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that not only the capital region but also the nearby industrial area Mandideep will benefit from this ambitious project, which will boost the development of the state and create new employment opportunities.
The plant will work in accordance with the objectives of Make in India
The Brahma plant will work completely in accordance with the objectives of Make in India and Self-reliant India. Most of the technology and materials used in the plant will be developed and manufactured in the country, which will reduce foreign dependence. This project will prove to be an important step towards making the state a national leader in the field of defense manufacturing.
Special attention will be given to environmental standards
Special attention will be given to environmental standards in the construction of this plant. Zero liquid waste system, use of solar and renewable energy, rainwater harvesting and green landscaping will be adopted here. It will be developed as per green factory standards using recycled and sustainable materials in construction.
125 to 200 coaches will be manufactured per year
The initial production capacity of the project will be 125 to 200 coaches per year, which will be increased to 1,100 coaches per year in five years. The operation of this unit will create thousands of jobs directly and indirectly, which will provide high-level industrial employment to the youth of the state in their own state. Also, the technical capabilities developed here will make the state competitive in the global market of high-speed rail and metro construction.
